Cynde moved to North County, San Diego from Los Angeles at a young age. After college, she spent a few years exploring San Francisco and lived eight months in South Lake Tahoe. She then headed back to San Diego where she attended Je Boutique College of Beauty in El Cajon, San Diego, where she received her esthetics training and certification.
Skin care has been an interest since her high school years. She loved experimenting with the latest products and technologies, and passed any new knowledge onto her friends. She realized her passion and decided to make it her career. She enjoys educating clients on how to properly care for their skin. Helping people achieve their goal of healthy, radiant skin is her reward.
Cynde believes in healthy living. She’s been practicing yoga for 10 years, and has taught for three. She also has a background in personal training. She and her sister are attempting to hike all of San Diego’s top 100 peaks. She appreciates good food and looks forward to checking out new restaurants. She finds inspiration in reading autobiographies of people who have led remarkable lives. Her favorite pastime, though, is laughing with friends.

I was raised in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from the University of Memphis in 2000 with a B.A in Journalism . Upon graduation, I worked at the local Fox News station in Memphis for over five years ,producing a crime segment "Mid-South's Most Wanted." In 2005, marriage moved me to San Diego, California. Here, I decided to switch careers in order to follow my true passion and become an esthetician. In 2006, I graduated from the Poway Beauty Academy. Upon graduation, I worked at a medical spa in Carmel Valley and eventually found my way to Spa Velia, where I have been for over one year.
I believe in natural beauty remedies taught to me by my grandmother and mother. I love combining techniques used from the past with today's advanced beauty solutions. Additionally, I love the connection formed with clients; my greatest reward is when a client leaves her treatment room feeling confident and beautiful.
I am happily married and have a daughter. In my free time I enjoy spending time with her family, working out, and exploring new places downtown.

I grew up on the Central Coast of California, in a small town just south of San Luis Obispo. After Jr. College I went to Chico State in Northern California where I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies. Deciding I didn’t want to be a teacher; I worked a few years in the corporate world, then quickly realized that wasn’t for me either. Going back to school, I received my certification from the California Hair Design Academy in La Mesa, and now have worked in aesthetics for over two years.
I chose aesthetics, because I love the feeling of having made a difference in someone’s day. I grew up with the embarrassment of acne, and understand that looking and feeling your best has a real impact on your confidence and outlook on life. Also little pampering never hurts.
My other passions are traveling and photography. My last two trips were to Southeast Asia, and I would love to go back someday to explore Vietnam. A very close second to travel-photography, is taking pictures of my sweet little nephew. It’s quite the challenge getting the perfect shot of him.

Although I have lived in San Diego the majority of my life, I was born in Puebla, Mexico, which is actually where the celebration of Cinco de Mayo originates. It's a beautiful part of Mexico that has preserved, culture, architecture, art and true Mexican Cuisine.
I attended school in San Diego but my esthetics and makeup artistry training I received from the Aveda Institute of Minneapolis. My profession now extends into its ninth year and I continue to enjoy everything that encompasses my passion. I love interacting with people, pampering and making guest feel very special, as well as, educating them to achieve long-term health and beauty.
It is a true inspiration to be part of Spa Velia and the Green Spa Network as I continue to learn to be truly committed to a healthier environment.

I am a native San Diegan. Long before I came to the esthetics profession I was a graduate of San Diego State University working in the field of child development. After many years in child development I wanted to take the natural elements of caring for others and apply them to a new profession.
As such, in 2005, I attended Je Boutique College of Beauty in El Cajon, San Diego, where I received my esthetics training and certification. I continued my education by earning a cosmetology license from California Hair Design Academy in 2007. In between school and work I enjoy spending time reading historical non-fiction, my current favorite read is Ron Chernow’s, Alexander Hamilton. I also enjoy spending time with my five nieces, exercising, golfing, traveling and snorkeling.

I was born and raised in Brazil. I moved to San Diego in 1999. Coming from a country where beauty places an important role in the society, moving here gave an interest into getting a deep knowledge about the beauty and well-being industry in America.
I am a Licensed Esthetician and Make-Up artist. I received my training in 2006 in Esthetics at Poway Academy and a Professional Make-Up certification at JLS Studio in Hollywood, CA.
I am passionate about working with people and love skin care and make-up products. I am excited that I am able to fulfill my personal and professional needs every day. My job at Spa Velia offers me the opportunity to deliver the best experience and results for my clients. In this setting, I am able to offer every individual client a unique and personalized service with professional and fun-loving attitude. That makes me confident to educate my clients about their skin needs.
I also have a bachelor's degree in Communicative Disorders. As I love challenges and learning, I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. I look forward to integrating these two careers in the future and having the ability to make even more of a difference in my client’s lives.

Born in San Diego, I grew up in an environment focusing on physical and mental health and well being, stemming from my parents philosophies and training in the martial arts. My pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts degree lead her to Santa Cruz, CA, an area well known for holistic therapy, homeopathies, organic foods, and natural beauty. While in the Monterey Bay, I directed and managed an upscale Day Spa and my love and passion for the industry was born!
I attended Esthetics school to pursue my interest in the technical aspects of skin, in San Diego. I frequently attend trade shows, seminars and lectures sponsored by leaders in the Esthetics community which exemplifies my drive to pursue ongoing education and keep current on the advances within the industry.
Through my results-oriented approach I am know for being incredibly dedicated to educating my clients and creating a partnership to find solutions to their skin, health and relaxation needs.

Juliana Rodrigues has been on her journey with the Spa and skincare industry since 2000. She is well known within industry circles as the friendly, funny, energetic woman with an interesting accent. She is known for communicating with an eclectic and savvy point of view. Among friends and peers she is called Juju.
Juju graduated from the San Diego Beauty Academy in 2000 and is also a certified Management Trainer from the School of Advertising and Marketing in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. She is a strong advocate of ongoing and frequent education to stay on top of trends within the Spa and skincare industry. As a result, her product and treatment training with countless skincare lines is extensive.
Juju created unique ways to live "the skincare lifestyle" as a professional and as a spa "goer". By applying her philosophical and original techniques combined with her extensive skincare knowledge, and leadership style, she has a growing list of high profile clients. She is a frequent guest on local television programs and contributor to trade publications.
Juliana became a mother of a little girl on February 2006 which has inspired her to continue the journey as a voice within the Spa community. She understands and enjoys her social responsibility as a skincare leader. Juliana's hobbies include reading, exercising and take her little one to bike rides.
